BG UPDATE : วิดมาร์ ย้ำทุกเกมสำคัญ ยังไม่มองโอกาสเข้ารอบขอทำแต้มให้มากที่สุดก่อนดวล คายา เอฟซี ศึก ACL นัดที่ 5เมื่อ 7 กรกฎาคม 2564 ที่ห้องแถลงข่าวสนามปทุมธานี สเตเดี้ยม ได้มีการจัดงานแถลงข่าวความพร้อมก่อนเกมเอเอฟซี แชมเปี้ยนส์ลีก 2021 กลุ่ม เอฟ นัดที่ 5 ระหว่าง คายา เอฟซี อิโลอิโล จากฟิลิปปินส์ พบ บีจี ปทุม ยูไนเต็ด ตัวแทนจากไทย ที่จะลงสนามกันในวันที่ 8 ก.ค.นี้ โดยทัพ "เดอะ แรบบิท" มี ออเรลิโอ วิดมาร์ เฮดโค้ช พร้อมด้วย สุมัญญา ปุริสาย กองกลางของทีม ขณะที่ฝั่ง คายา เอฟซี อิโลอิโล มี เกรแฮม ฮาร์วี่ย์ กุนซือใหญ่พร้อมด้วย อาเนล อมิต้า นักเตะตัวเก่งของทีม เข้าร่วมในงานแถลงข่าว 

โดย ออเรลิโอ วิดมาร์ เฮดโค้ช บีจี ปทุม ยูไนเต็ด ได้กล่าวถึงการพบกับ คายา เอฟซี อิโลอิโล ว่า "เกมนี้เป็นเกมที่สำคัญเหมือนทุกเกม การฝึกซ้อมของเราที่ผ่านมาก็พยายามทำให้นักเตะพร้อมและฟิตมากที่สุด พยายามทำให้ทุกอย่างพร้อมที่สุดในแต่ละเกม แม้ว่าที่ผ่านมานักเตะของเราจะกรำศึกหนักมาตลอด 4 นัด แต่ผมก็มั่นใจว่าผู้เล่นทุกคนพร้อมลงสนาม และในคืนนี้ผมจะหาผู้เล่นที่พร้อมที่สุดสำหรับเกมในวันพรุ่งนี้" นอกจากนี้ วิดมาร์ ยังได้เผยถึงโอกาสในการเข้ารอบต่อไปว่า "แม้ว่าตอนนี้เราจะมี 9 แต้ม และหากเก็บชัยชนะในวันพรุ่งนี้ได้จะมี 12 แต้ม แต่ก็ไม่มีอะไรการันตีได้ว่าจะพอต่อการเข้ารอบต่อไป สิ่งที่เราโฟกัสคือเกมในวันพรุ่งนี้ คายา เป็นทีมที่ดี เป็นทีมที่แข็งแกร่ง ผู้เล่นแต่ละคนมีความสามารถเฉพาะตัวที่ดี และเรื่องของฟุตบอลบางทีอะไรก็เกิดขึ้นได้ เราต้องเน้นในแต่ละเกม จากนั้นค่อยมองในเกมต่อไป และยังไม่มองถึงโอกาสในการเข้ารอบในตอนนี้ หน้าที่ของเราคือต้องทำหน้าที่ให้ดีที่สุดในแต่ละเกม"ด้าน สุมัญญา ปุริสาย ได้กล่าวว่า "รู้สึกตื่นเต้นที่ได้มีส่วนร่วมกับทัวร์นาเมนต์ระดับเอเชีย แต่ทุกเกมเป็นเกมที่ยากเสมอ แม้ว่าเราจะเคยชนะ คายา มาในเกมแรก แต่เราก็จะประมาทไม่ได้ เพราะเขาเองก็น่าจะเตรียมตัวมาดีในการพบกับเราในวันพรุ่งนี้ เพราะฉะนั้นเราก็ต้องเตรียมทีมให้ดีที่สุด"

"ผมยอมรับว่าร่างกายของตัวเองยังไม่ฟิตเต็มร้อยเปอร์เซ็นต์ เพราะช่วงก่อนแข่งขันยังไม่ได้ซ้อมกับทีมมากนัก และเกมกับทีมชาติไทยก็ไม่ได้ลงเล่น แม้ว่าเกมกับ เวียตเทล ในนัดที่ 3 ตนจะได้ลงเป็น 11 ตัวจริงและเล่นไป 60 นาที คิดว่าตัวเองนั้นพร้อมแล้ว แต่จากเกมนัดที่ 4 กับ เวียตเทล อีกครั้งและเล่นเพียงแค่ 45 นาที ก็ทำให้ได้รู้ว่าเรายังฟิตไม่พอ แต่ก็ได้มีการพูดคุยกับโค้ช และมีการปรับให้ดีขึ้น โดยรวมแล้วพอได้ลงสนามมากขึ้น ความพร้อมของผมก็มากขึ้นเรื่อยๆ"ขณะที่ เกรแฮม ฮาร์วี่ย์ เฮดโค้ช คายา เอฟซี อิโลอิโล ได้กล่าวถึงเกมกับ บีจีพียู ว่า "การฝึกซ้อมเมื่อวานดำเนินไปอย่างราบรื่น ทีมสปิริตของเราดี แต่ยังต้องดูอาการของ มาร์โก คาซัมเบร ที่ได้รับบาดเจ็บบริเวณศีรษะ โดยรวมเราตื่นเต้นกับเกมที่กำลังจะมาถึง ในทุกๆเกมมาพร้อมความกดดันและเป้าหมายของเราคือการโชว์ฟอร์มให้ดี ครั้งแรกที่เราพบ บีจีพียู เราดีใจมากที่สามารถทำประตูได้ แม้มันจะเป็นช่วงท้ายเกมก็ตาม แต่ถึงอย่างนั้นหากดูศักยภาพของ บีจีพียู เวลามีบอลเราจำเป็นต้องเล่นให้รัดกุมและเราเชื่อว่าเรามีทีเด็ดเกมรุกซึ่งสามารถเล่นงานจุดอ่อน บีจีพียู ได้" สำหรับการแข่งขันเอเอฟซี แชมเปี้ยนส์ลีก 2021 กลุ่ม เอฟ นัดที่ 5 ระหว่าง คายา เอฟซี อิโลอิโล จากประเทศฟิลิปปินส์ พบ บีจี ปทุม ยูไนเต็ด  จะลงสนามในวันพฤหัสบดีที่ 8 กรกฎาคม 2564 เวลา 17.00 น.ที่สนามปทุมธานี สเตเดี้ยม

BG Pathum United head coach Aurelio Vidmar and midfielder Sumanya Purisay gave final updates ahead of The Rabbits AFC Champions League 2021 Group F matchday five against Kaya FC Iloilo. Also attending the pre-match press conference is Kaya FC head coach Graham Harvey and midfielder Arnel Amita."Like every game in this tournament, we played the game, had a recovery day, and tried to freshen up as much as possible. Again, it's a very important game for us." Vidmar told the press."We have nine points. We need to win this game. After we win this game, we will see. There's no point going into the calculation. We know twelve points will be enough, maybe twelve points won't be enough. At this stage, we don't know. All we can control is what we do tomorrow. We can't think about the next game and what the other teams are doing. Our focus is what we do as a team. If we can play very strong, then we have a good chance of winning the game."We need to be concentrated for ninety-five, sometimes even a hundred minutes, because Kaya FC is a good football team with a lot of good individual players, so we can't take them lightly."Alongside Vidmar is attacking midfielder Sumanya, who updates us on his fitness level going into the remaining ACL matches “As we all know, I hardly played while away with the national team and missed the club’s pre-season, hence why I don’t feel a hundred percent fit."I felt much better after the 60 minutes against Viettel FC, but couldn’t build on that in the half I got last time out. So I can’t say I’m fully fit, at the moment.”There were conversations with the coach; he said to take it step by step, and things are definitely improving at the moment. Looking back at last season, I had two full 90-minute friendlies prior to the first competitive match plus a pre-season with the team, and so I was fitter then. But I’m getting better, all I need is to find that feeling on the pitch and get more game time in the tank.”Meanwhile, Harvey insists the Kaya FC squad is motivated for the upcoming game "We had a great training session yesterday. The team spirit is high, all we're waiting for is to check on Marco [Casambre] who suffered an injury to his head. Overall we are up and excited for this game."There is pressure in every game. We want to make sure we have a good performance. Last time we scored against BGPU towards the end of the game, but when you look at BGPU's quality on the ball, we know we need to be organised. But we have attacking options to expose BGPU's weakness. BG Pathum United will play Kaya FC-Iloilo on matchday five of the AFC Champions League 2021 (Group F) on 8 July 2021, at 17:00 at Pathum Thani Stadium.
